In effort to continue the fight against the ongoing, five-year drought in the south west, Gov. Jerry Brown has made the temporary water restrictions permanent.
This is a small step toward drought tolerance and better water conservation efforts for the state, as the restrictions include banning wasteful practices, including hosing sidewalks and washing cars without shut-off nozzles on hoses.
