Artificial grass is growing fast thanks to the approval from the Glendale planning commission.
Commissioners voted 4-1 to allow up to 50% of front lawns be made up of artificial turf, while the other half must have live-plant material.
This means homeowners can now replace their natural lawn with artificial lawn, so long as it doesn’t exceed more than 50% of the space. This is a great way for homeowners in Glendale to save water, as they won’t have to use water to maintain their lawn during the ongoing drought and water crisis.
